We'd rather answer this than have you guess.

Real questions, sorted by what you're actually worried about.

Scope

What exactly do I get for a fixed price?

Every package states its scope in plain terms before you pay — number of pages, posts, emails, or SKUs, plus how many revision rounds are included. Nothing is scoped "later," and nothing costs more once you’ve paid unless you ask for something outside the original scope.

What if my project doesn’t fit neatly into one of the 8 services?

Most projects do fit — the 8 services cover the large majority of what businesses need written. For anything unusual (a multi-channel launch, a rebrand that spans several services at once), every service page has a custom-quote option; tell us the scope on the contact page and we’ll quote it directly, fixed-price, same as everything else.

Can I buy more than one package at once?

Yes — add as many packages as you need to the same cart, across any of the 8 services. Each keeps its own scope, delivery timeline, and revision rounds; they don’t get bundled into one combined project unless you tell us to plan them that way.

Do you write in industries you haven’t worked in before?

Yes, regularly. The kickoff brief and a structured discovery conversation do the work of getting us up to speed — we don’t need to have written for your exact industry before to write specifically about your business, because we’re not writing from a template.

Ownership

Do I own the copy once it’s delivered?

Yes, in full, on final payment. There’s no license, no attribution requirement, no ongoing fee to keep using it.

Can you sign our own contract or NDA instead of using yours?

Often, yes — for custom-quoted work especially, we’re used to working under a client’s own NDA or contractor agreement. Ask when you reach out and we’ll tell you honestly if there’s a conflict.

Is there any ongoing license fee or renewal?

No. Full ownership transfers on final payment, one time, no renewal, no attribution requirement, no restriction on how or where you use it.

Who’s actually writing my project — will it be outsourced?

The writer assigned at your kickoff is who drafts and owns your project start to finish; work isn’t subcontracted out to a third-party freelancer pool.

Revisions

What if I don’t like the first draft?

You get your included revision rounds — 1, 2, or 3 depending on tier — to redirect it. We’re not done until you approve the draft within that number of rounds.

What counts as a "revision round"?

One round is one consolidated set of feedback on a draft, addressed in one turnaround. It’s not per-sentence, per-email nitpicking spread across two weeks — gather your notes, send them together, and we turn around the revised draft as one pass.

What happens once I run out of revision rounds?

Further rounds are quoted separately, usually at a fraction of the original price. Most projects don’t need it — the included rounds are enough when feedback is specific and consolidated.

Do unused revision rounds carry over or get refunded?

No — they need to be used within 30 days of the relevant delivery. Unused rounds expire; they’re not refundable in cash, since the studio’s schedule reserved that time whether or not you used it.

Payment

How does payment work?

You pay the full package price at checkout. For custom-quoted work outside the packages, a project deposit applies before kickoff — full detail is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Is the payment on this site real?

Checkout demonstrates the full flow, but payment processing is currently in demo mode — no card is charged and no card details ever leave your browser. It’s clearly marked at the payment step and on your confirmation. If you’d rather place a real order today, contact us directly and we’ll invoice you the standard way.

What’s the deposit structure for custom-quoted work?

Custom engagements outside the fixed packages carry a project deposit, detailed in the quote before you approve it, and covered fully by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Do prices ever go up mid-project?

No. Your price is locked at checkout (or at quote approval, for custom work). Additional scope you request later is quoted and agreed separately before any extra work begins.

Timelines

How long does a project actually take?

From kickoff brief to first draft: 5 business days at Essential, 10 at Professional, 15–20 at Authority. That clock starts when you return your completed kickoff brief, not when you check out.

Can you work faster than the stated timeline?

Sometimes, for an additional fee — ask at kickoff. We’d rather quote an honest rush fee than promise a date we can’t hit.

What if I’m slow to respond during the project?

The timeline assumes reasonably prompt turnaround on your end (kickoff brief, revision feedback). If you know you’ll be slower, tell us at kickoff so we can plan the schedule honestly instead of letting a date slip silently.

Do revision rounds add to the original timeline?

Yes — the 5/10/15–20 business day windows cover the first draft. Each revision round typically adds 2–4 business days, depending on how much changed.
